Whether listening to Miles Davis on the way to school in my fathers car, playing trombone in the Vancouver Youth Symphony Orchestra, or my relatively recent discovery of the Ukulele, music has always been a part of my life.

Likewise, from the age of 15, woodworking has also been a constant companion. From turning chess sets, building cedar strip canoes to building Ukuleles I'm constantly learning new techniques.

When I outgrew my first Ukulele pictured here, I realized that I could combine my love of music with my passion for woodworking and save some money to boot. From this union grew Nelson Gnome Works.
